Under general supervision, this role coordinates and assists with the completion of projects and provides management support for Fort Irwin's cultural resource management program. This position requires technical expertise, guidance, and management support for Fort Irwin National Historic Preservation Act consultation and documentation under Section 106/110. It involves coordinating project activities such as initiation, value assessments, work plan development, estimating, and project controls, and recommending program guidelines, procedures, policies, rules, and regulations. The role also includes geospatial mapping of cultural resources and other GIS work, technical report reviews and revisions, developing Archaeological Resources Protection Act (ARPA) and Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA) plans of action, assisting with the execution of tasks within the Integrated Cultural Resources Management Plan (ICRMP) and agreement documents, supporting Tribal consultation, meetings, and site visits, tracking permit and project milestones, and assisting with documentation and evaluation of built features and structures, archaeological sites, Sacred sites, and Traditional Cultural Places.
