The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is a leading UN agency dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration. Established in 1951, IOM works with governmental, intergovernmental, and non-governmental partners, providing services and advice to governments and migrants. The organization is committed to fostering a workplace where employees can thrive professionally and harness the full potential of migration. This specific role is within the framework of the United States Refugee Admissions Program (USRAP), which aims to provide resettlement opportunities globally. IOM supports USRAP through case processing, health assessments, cultural orientation, transportation, and managing a travel loan program. The Department of Mobility Pathways and Inclusion, through the Resettlement and Movement Management Unit (RMM), oversees IOM's global support for resettlement programs. Resettlement Support Centers (RSCs), implemented by IOM under an MOU with the US State Department Bureau for Population, Refugees and Migration (PRM), provide crucial support for resettlement to the US. These functions include assisting USCIS officers, facilitating screenings, providing information to US resettlement agencies, and delivering Cultural Orientation training. The position will initially be based in Washington DC, with potential relocation based on programmatic needs.
