About The Position

Michels Energy Solutions, Inc. (MES) is the general contracting and prime contractor arm of Michels, delivering complex energy and industrial infrastructure projects across North America. MES provides turnkey project execution, using Michels' self-perform capabilities to manage construction from planning and procurement through field execution and project closeout. Its work includes pipelines, gas distribution systems, compressor and pump stations, industrial facilities, utility infrastructure, and energy-related construction.

The Project Controls Specialist supports project managers by developing and maintaining accurate budgets and schedules, monitoring progress against financial and timeline goals, and coordinating project activities to promote efficient execution and communication across teams. The role is based in Texas and requires occasional travel to project sites.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and business operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, including the ability to interpret data to drive process improvements.
• Collaboration and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and independently under deadlines.
• Occasional travel to project sites.
