About The Position

This position is open to Alaska Residents only. The Department of Family and Community Services, Office of Children's Services (OCS) is recruiting for a full-time Project Assistant located in Juneau, Alaska. The Project Assistant provides critical technical assistance and program support to the Office of Children’s Services (OCS) staff regarding Provider and Vendor Payment Unit (PVPU) program activities, policies, processes, and service delivery. This position provides internal monitoring and support of the QA desk as well as general development, planning, and evaluation assistance to ensure federal and statewide payment policies and procedures are being followed. In addition, the Project Assistant serves as the primary support to the Social Services Program Coordinator (SSPC) and all their associated tasks and duties. The Project Assistant will support weekly certification, payment processes, and training modules for PVPU and other field staff in conjunction with the SSPC. The Project Assistant will provide follow up responses to fiscal inquiries by leadership and other OCS cohorts in collaboration with the SSPC.
