About The Position

Custom Concrete is seeking an energetic, highly motivated Project Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting our construction operations by managing subcontractor invoicing, inter‑company billing, job costing worksheets, and other financial documentation essential to project success. The Project Administrator ensures accurate payment processing, adherence to contract terms, and timely weekly payroll activities. Working closely with the Senior Project Administrator, Account Coordinators, Production Managers, and the Accounting team, this position helps maintain financial accuracy, strengthen communication across departments, and contribute to the smooth delivery of projects. A successful candidate will be able to read and interpret construction blueprints, understand project drawings, and ensure the accurate review and processing of weekly subcontractor purchase orders. The role involves validating project quantities with Production Managers, monitoring subcontractor variances, and entering job costing information into Custom Tracker. This position also acts as a key liaison between subcontractors, Sales, and Production teams to support active projects and provide dependable backup coverage for both the Indianapolis and Ohio divisions. The ideal Project Administrator brings strong critical‑thinking skills, exceptional attention to detail, and excellent time‑management and organizational abilities. A solid mathematical aptitude, willingness to learn, and comfort with office administration tasks are essential. While this position does not include supervisory responsibilities, it requires the ability to work independently in an office environment, often while seated at a computer for extended periods. Close, distance, and color vision, as well as depth perception and focus adjustment, are necessary for reviewing documents and project materials. This is a full‑time position based on a 40‑hour work week, with occasional overtime as needed. Travel requirements are minimal. Candidates should have the ability to read and interpret construction blueprints, perform accurate measurements and calculations, and demonstrate strong organizational and administrative skills. Prior experience in construction administration is preferred.
