About The Position

AECOM Hunt is hiring a Project Accountant to support construction projects. The role supports moderately complex projects under general supervision, prepares financial reports and analyzes findings to provide recommendations, and maintains records in accordance with generally accepted accounting practices. The Project Accountant also performs audits, generates special financial reports, and reviews projects for accurate revenue recognition. This is an onsite position based in Brook Park, Ohio. The role works in a matrixed environment and reports to the local Project Executive and Regional Controller.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a relevant curriculum and 2 years of accounting experience; or an associate degree and 4 years of relevant experience; or high school diploma/GED and 6 years of relevant experience; or demonstrated equivalent experience and/or education.
Experience in construction project accounting.
Demonstrated experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Experience with construction financial documentation.
Strong Excel experience.
Ability to work independently and demonstrate ownership of processes.

Nice To Haves

Experience with CMiC or Textura.
