About The Position

AECOM Hunt is hiring a Project Accountant to support moderately complex construction projects under general supervision. The role prepares financial reports, analyzes findings, and provides recommendations; maintains accounting records in accordance with generally accepted accounting practices; performs audits and prepares special financial reports; and reviews projects for accurate revenue recognition. The position operates in a matrixed environment and reports to the local Project Executive and Regional Controller. The posting references support for a new stadium construction project in Cleveland, Ohio, and a position in AECOM Hunt’s Phoenix, Arizona office.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a relevant curriculum and 2 years of accounting experience; or associate degree and 4 years of relevant experience; or high school diploma/GED and 6 years of relevant experience; or demonstrated equivalent experience and/or education.
Experience with construction project accounting.
Demonstrated experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Experience in construction accounting and construction financial documentation.
Strong Excel experience.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of processes.
Must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test if offered the position.
Must attend in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location.
