About The Position

This is a Progressive Care Unit position with 15 beds, consisting of 3 step-down ICU beds and 12 telemetry beds. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4 for Progressive Care and 1:3 for Step-down ICU. The position is for day shifts, from 06:45 to 19:15, with scheduled 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation. There is no guarantee of hours, and no call is required. The unit operates 24 hours a day, Monday through Friday. Primary nursing care, telemetry monitoring, telemetry strip reading, and fingerstick blood sugar checks are among the general job duties. Equipment utilized includes Meditech charting, Pyxis for medications, BIPAP, and continuous cardiac monitoring.

Requirements

• Active State of HI license required by the start of the assignment.
• At least 1 year of hospital acute care experience within the last year.
• Meditech charting
• Pyxis for medications
• BIPAP
• Continuous cardiac monitoring

Nice To Haves

• Progressive Care experience preferred
• Telemetry experience preferred
• ACLS preferred
• Current PALS preferred
• NIHSS certification preferred
