About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Progressive Care Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team and provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. The successful candidate will work in a 15-bed Progressive Care Unit with both telemetry and step-down ICU capabilities. This role is scheduled for 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation. There is no guarantee of hours and no call responsibilities. The unit consists of 15 beds: 3 step-down ICU beds and 12 telemetry beds. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4 for Progressive Care and 1:3 for Step-down ICU.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital acute care setting within the last year.
• Current RN license.
• Scrubs are required as part of the dress code.
• Holiday coverage is required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Progressive Care and telemetry preferred.
• ACLS certification is preferred.
• Current PALS certification is preferred.
• NIHSS certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary nursing care and perform telemetry monitoring.
• Interpret telemetry strips and conduct fingerstick blood sugar tests.
• Utilize Meditech for charting and Pyxis for medication administration.
• Operate BIPAP and conduct continuous cardiac monitoring.
• May be required to float to other acute units within the facility, including Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, and ER as needed.
