About The Position

This is a Progressive Care Unit position with 15 beds, consisting of 3 step-down ICU beds and 12 telemetry beds. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4 for Progressive Care and 1:3 for Step-down ICU. The assignment is for 36 hours per week, following the first week of orientation, with no guarantee of hours. There is no on-call requirement. The role involves primary nursing care, telemetry monitoring, telemetry strip reading, and fingerstick blood sugar checks. Equipment used includes Meditech for charting, Pyxis for medications, BIPAP, and continuous cardiac monitoring.

Requirements

• Active State of HI license required by start of assignment
• At least 1 year of hospital acute care experience within the last year
• Meditech charting
• Pyxis for medications
• BIPAP
• Continuous cardiac monitoring

Nice To Haves

• Progressive Care experience preferred
• Telemetry experience preferred
• ACLS preferred
• Current PALS preferred
• NIHSS certification preferred
