About The Position

The Programming Coordinator, Memory Care helps create and lead engaging programs that maximize resident participation and enhance residents’ quality of life. The role supports planning, coordinating, and implementing adult-centric, relevant, elevated, and purposeful activities and events. It also assists with developing a monthly calendar balanced across cultural, intellectual, spiritual, social, physical, and recreational opportunities.

The coordinator helps arrange performers and instructors, encourages resident participation through positive relationships and personalized interactions, and assists the Director of Entertainment & Programming with medical transportation and outings. The role also includes helping residents enter and exit the community vehicle. The schedule is full-time, Tuesday through Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency in using Internet resources and understanding and using current technology.
• Valid driver's license, clean motor vehicle record, and at least three years of driving experience.
• Strong customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

• Previous relevant experience as a Programming Coordinator (Activities) is preferred but not required.
• Eagerness to learn, an open mind, and a desire to create a wonderful lifestyle for residents.

Responsibilities

• Support the department in planning, coordinating, and implementing activities and events for residents.
• Assist in developing a monthly program calendar balanced across cultural, intellectual, spiritual, social, physical, and recreational opportunities.
• Help procure groups, organizations, and individuals to perform for or instruct residents.
• Encourage residents to participate in activities through positive relationships and personalized interactions.
• Assist the Director of Entertainment & Programming with medical transportation within community guidelines and with outings and excursions.
• Assist residents in entering and exiting the community vehicle.
