About The Position

The Programming Coordinator, Memory Care helps create and lead engaging programs that maximize resident engagement and enhance residents’ quality of life. The role supports the Entertainment & Programming department by planning, coordinating, and implementing adult-centric, relevant, elevated, and purposeful activities and events. It also assists with the monthly program calendar, arranging performers and instructors, encouraging residents’ participation through personalized interactions, and providing transportation for residents and assistance with community outings.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency in using internet resources and an understanding and use of current technology.
• Valid driver's license, clean motor vehicle record, and at least three years of driving experience.
• Strong customer service skills.
• A big smile, eagerness to learn, open mind, and desire to create a wonderful lifestyle for residents.

Nice To Haves

• Previous relevant experience as a Programming Coordinator (Activities) is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support the department in planning, coordinating, and implementing adult-centric, relevant, elevated, and purposeful activities and events.
• Assist in developing the monthly program calendar to balance cultural, intellectual, spiritual, social, physical, and recreational opportunities.
• Assist in procuring groups, organizations, and individuals to perform for or instruct residents.
• Encourage residents to participate in activities through positive relationships and personalized interactions.
• Assist the Director of Entertainment & Programming in providing medical transportation to residents within community guidelines and coordinating outings and excursions.
• Assist residents in entering and exiting the community vehicle.
