Program/Project Manager 5

Lam Research•Tualatin, OR

About The Position

The Express Prototype Material (XPM) Program Manager creates strategies and drives objectives that enable sourcing options for engineering teams to procure and test newly designed parts supporting new product introduction (NPI) development. This new program requires problem-solving and cross-functional influence to optimize results, efficiency, and scalability. The Program Manager works with Product Groups, Purchasing, and NPI Supplier Business Managers to shape and manage program attributes. Success requires clear communication, effective problem-solving, knowledge of sourcing processes, and strong supplier management. The XPM program aligns with the standard Rapid Prototype Manufacturing (RPM) process to source initial designs for laboratory use. Together, these processes help Lam iterate designs quickly and compete for new customer business in the semiconductor market. The role translates strategies into actionable work, establishes program performance measures, supports compliance with program governance, addresses process gaps, and coaches Supplier Business Managers and engineers on NPI sourcing. It also includes presenting performance to management, onboarding and training suppliers, driving supplier process improvements, developing knowledge across commodities, and building cross-functional relationships. Lam offers work-location models that vary according to role needs. Hybrid models include On-site Flex (at least three days per week at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with remote work for the remainder) and Virtual Flex (one to two days per week at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with remote work for the remainder). The specific model for this position is not stated. Lam states its commitment to equal opportunity and non-discrimination in employment. It also describes a comprehensive set of benefits, but does not specify individual benefits in the posting.
