About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to oversee moderately complex engineering project assignments at Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) in Huntsville, Alabama. This role is responsible for delivering services on time, within budget, and to high quality standards, while coordinating staff and customer representatives. The position works onsite at MSFC and requires U.S. citizenship, a federal background review, and a drug screen.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship and successful completion of a federal background review and drug screen.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration or Registered Architect.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in engineering or architecture and project management.
- Proficiency in business standards, engineering standards, and project controls tools.
- Demonstrated expertise in complex project management and team leadership.
- Comprehensive understanding of engineering disciplines, procurement, and construction processes.
- Strong client relationship management skills in complex situations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to set priorities, delegate authority, and coach and mentor team members effectively.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or Architecture, from an accredited university.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Responsibilities
- Receive and communicate task and project orders, scopes, and estimates.
- Oversee day-to-day operations and coordinate the onsite team.
- Plan and execute contract resources to ensure performance meets the standards established in the contract performance work statement.
- Supervise and guide direct reports, including A&E Managers, Construction Supervision/Inspection Managers, and the GIS Manager, as well as the onsite team.
- Foster synergies among individual work requests to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
