Requirements

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Computer Engineering, or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered, program manager, or engineering role.
  • OR Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Computer Engineering, or related field and five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered, program manager, or engineering role.
  • Program management, risk management, and stakeholder management;
  • Driving debug of critical corner-case bugs by working with the technical/engineering teams;
  • Establishing formal program management artifacts including a plan of record, statements of work, project/program timelines, budget, scope, performance, and quality KPIs;
  • Constraint-based randomization testing for cross-case scenarios involving power flows and error injection;
  • Pre-silicon and post-silicon;
  • CXL and DDR5 protocols;
  • Hardware verification;
  • RTL design and coding;
  • ASIC design and design flows and methodologies used for chip verification.

Responsibilities

  • Define, plan, and drive projects and program plans based on management and senior technical guidance.
  • Identify and document customer requirements and establish engineering schedules.
  • Drive AMD product solution deliverables and alignment with customers’ platforms to ensure highest level customer satisfaction throughout their product lifecycle.
  • Initiate significant changes to existing processes and methods to improve project and team efficiency.
  • Create and maintain project management artifacts such as schedule, resource and resource forecast, risk, and issues logs.
  • Identify action or mitigation plans for issues or risks that arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Collect, analyze, organize, and publish work performance data via dashboards and recurring status reports.
  • Work with systems engineering and silicon design teams through the various phases of bring-up, product definition, and product validation and production ramp while driving of hardware issues in the post-silicon phase.
  • Drive schedules, resources, status, and cross-functional alignment of engineering tasks.
  • Determine project equipment needs.
  • Scope technical feasibility of new Products by clarifying and analyzing requirements with SW/HW Architects, Technical Leads, and Engineers.
  • Develop program schedule by considering various driver, SW Stack components and HW/FW dependencies, negotiate and create a staffing plan.
  • Review engineering specification for production of products and/or systems.
  • Analyze requirements, capacity, cost, or customer needs to determine project feasibility.
  • Confer with engineers, customers, or other stakeholders to discuss existing or potential electronics engineering projects or products.
  • Prepare necessary criteria, procedures, reports, or plans for successful conduct of the project with consideration given to site preparation, facility validation, installation, quality assurance, and/or testing.
  • Evaluate project work to ensure effectiveness, technical adequacy, or compatibility in the resolution of complex electronics engineering problems.
  • Utilize knowledge of material science and computers and electronics, including computer hardware a software, applications, and programming, as well as knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
  • Apply knowledge of engineering principles, material science, and technologies to the development, and testing of various AMD products.
