About The Position

Devereux is seeking a Program Manager to oversee their day program in Bridgeton, NJ. This role involves ensuring individuals are active, engaged, and productive by managing their vocational program. The Program Manager will supervise, coach, and mentor Direct Support Professionals and Employment Training Specialists, and will be responsible for interviewing, hiring, performance management, attendance, payroll accuracy, and training compliance for their team. The position also involves ensuring adequate shift coverage, managing the program for profitability, and supervising the planning, implementation, and documentation of programs to meet individuals' social, emotional, physical, and personal needs. Additionally, the Program Manager will plan and schedule community-based activities and transportation for individuals to these activities and job placements. The Program Manager reports directly to the Program Director.

Requirements

  • Have a minimum of a High School Diploma/GED.
  • Have a valid non-provisional driver's license.
  • Be able to attend ten days of paid onsite orientation on weekdays.
  • One year of supervisory experience in a child/adult behavioral health care agency.
  • Be empathetic and have a team approach to care for our individuals.
  • Devereux has a zero-tolerance policy for abuse and maintains policies and procedures to systematically reduce the risk of abuse to occur in our organization. Devereux fosters a culture of reporting abuse, and will cooperate with the authorities to the fullest extent possible.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's in a related field preferred.
  • Two years experience working with individuals with disabilities in a community setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure our individuals are active, engaged, and productive by overseeing their vocational program.
  • Actively supervise, coach, and mentor Direct Support Professionals and Employment Training Specialists.
  • Responsible for interviewing and hiring vocational staff, performance management, attendance management, payroll accuracy and training compliance of each team member.
  • Ensure all shifts within the vocational program are adequately covered and done so in a way to allow the program to function as a profitable entity.
  • Supervise the planning, implementation, and documentation of programs designed to meet the social, emotional, physical, and personal needs of our individuals.
  • Plan community based activities for our individuals.
  • Schedule and transport our individuals to community based activities and job placement.
