About The Position

The AUM College of Education is currently seeking a part-time Program Manager for Project INVEST -AL, a recently awarded U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Populations grant. This project aims to increase the number of teachers in Alabama trained to work with students with visual impairments and blindness over the next five years.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in an office setting.
  • Experience managing financial systems.
  • Experience with organizational tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or higher degree.
  • Experience working within higher education or large organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the resource manager for the project, including ordering and purchasing materials, and ensuring students receive scholarships and stipends.
  • Support the project’s organizational aspects, such as collecting documentation from students as needed.
  • Manage the content of the project’s website.
  • Collaborate on the development of recruitment materials.
  • Support all aspects of recruitment and retention efforts.
  • Effectively communicate with all students within the project.
  • Support the external evaluator with data collection as applicable.
  • Collaborate on the annual reports to the US Department of Education.
