About The Position

The Program Manager at ADDMAN’s Statesville, North Carolina facility serves as the primary customer and internal liaison for programs supporting mainly commercial space, aerospace, and defense customers. The role oversees program execution from contract award through delivery, with responsibility for customer satisfaction, technical excellence, and financial performance. It collaborates across engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain in a fast-paced, high-mix manufacturing environment, combining strategic oversight with tactical execution to deliver performance and continuous improvement. The position is subject to ITAR requirements and requires U.S. person status. The Program Manager leads programs and projects with limited oversight, developing plans, schedules, and budgets; monitoring cost, schedule, performance, technical requirements, and quality; and supporting all phases from initiation through completion. The role develops customer partnerships, identifies requirements and gaps, coordinates solutions, leads RFQ/RFP responses, manages scope changes and contractual changes, and reports program status and performance to executive leadership and the broader organization. It also defines deliverables, tasks, risks, resources, and program indicators, and aligns development, engineering, and manufacturing plans across functions. The position requires frequent interaction with manufacturing operations. PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed shoes is required in those areas. Typical plant conditions include ambient temperature, standard lighting, and machining equipment in use. Employees are expected to follow safety standards and environmental policies, handle hazardous materials properly, maintain a safe workplace, and report unsafe conditions.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in program and/or project management.
Bachelor’s degree.
Eligible to work in the United States without company sponsorship and eligible U.S. Person status.
Ability to obtain a security clearance.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and business impact to diverse audiences.
Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
Experience with aerospace component development, transition into production, and entry into service.
Experience with complex product development or management, aerospace component production, and component manufacturing.
Experience with logic-linked scheduling, cost account management, and budget management.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in complex product development and disciplined production environments.
Ability to adapt, work assertively and independently in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, occasionally lift up to 25 pounds, and move throughout manufacturing areas; may need to access or observe equipment in confined or elevated spaces while following safety procedures.
Must meet ITAR U.S. person status requirements.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in precision machining, injection molding, or additive manufacturing.
Master’s degree.
Active security clearance.
PMP certification.
Six Sigma or Lean training.
Knowledge of CAD, including Mechanical Desktop or Solidworks.

Responsibilities

Lead projects and programs with limited oversight by developing and executing plans, schedules, and budgets.
Build trusted customer relationships through frequent contact and in-person visits, and improve the customer experience.
Monitor program and project execution for cost, schedule, and performance against technical and quality specifications.
Identify customer requirements and internal deficiencies, and propose solutions to engineering and manufacturing management.
Work with Operations and Engineering to optimize production through ADDMAN group resources.
Seek additional volume on current customer programs through value and responsiveness.
Support all program and project phases from beginning through completion.
Lead RFQ/RFP response development, coordinating the preparation of quotes and proposals.
Manage customer scope changes in coordination with Engineering and Operations.
Resolve complex manufacturing problems and troubleshoot manufacturing and production systems.
Negotiate contracts and contractual changes to ensure legal compliance and protect the organization’s interests.
Define and document program deliverables and tasks, identify program risks, and develop detailed planning frameworks and leading program indicators.
Review development, engineering, and manufacturing plans and ensure cross-functional integration and alignment.
Identify and communicate the team, equipment, capabilities, and outside resources required to meet program deliverables.
Lead program teams through active internal and external communication.
Apply technical, functional, and leadership expertise while maintaining a commitment to quality and improving ADDMAN’s product offering and program-management toolkit.
Regularly report project status and performance to executive leadership and the broader organization.
Comply with safety standards and environmental policies, properly handle hazardous materials, and report unsafe conditions.
