About The Position

The Program Manager serves as the senior contractor representative and primary point of contact for the Government, providing overall leadership, management, coordination, and execution oversight for all contract activities supporting Headquarters Army Materiel Command (AMC). The Program Manager is responsible for ensuring successful performance across strategic planning, medical logistics, logistics readiness, Army Service Component Command (ASCC) integration, war planning, and enterprise sustainment support functions. This position directs program operations, manages personnel and resources, oversees quality control, mitigates risks, and ensures all contract objectives, deliverables, and performance standards are achieved in support of AMC's global logistics and readiness mission. The work for this position shall be performed onsite in Huntsville, Alabama. Contingent Upon Contract Award

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Program Management, Logistics, Public Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum ten (10) years of progressively responsible program management experience supporting DoD, Army, or federal organizations.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience supporting AMC, Army Materiel Enterprise, or Joint logistics organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large, multi-functional teams supporting complex contracts.
  • Experience managing budgets, schedules, contract resources, and performance metrics.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and have an Active Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the principal liaison between Government leadership, contracting officials, and contractor personnel.
  • Provide overall management and execution oversight for all contract activities.
  • Oversee staffing, workforce management, resource allocation, and contract performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all contract requirements, Army regulations, policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement program management plans, quality control processes, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor deliverables, schedules, performance metrics, and contract milestones.
  • Lead program reviews, status meetings, and executive briefings with Government stakeholders.
  • Identify performance risks and implement corrective actions to maintain mission success.
  • Coordinate activities across multiple functional task areas and geographically dispersed locations.
  • Support continuous process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and mission effectiveness.
  • Ensure timely delivery of reports, briefings, plans, and required contract deliverables.
