About The Position

At STELIA North America, we are offering the opportunity for a career that is out of this world! We are looking for someone to join our Program’s Team in beautiful Mirabel, Quebec. An affiliate of the Airbus Group of Companies, STELIA is an aerospace and defence company specializing in the design, development, and manufacturing of composite components and assemblies. Headquartered in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, and with a site in Mirabel, Quebec, we operate in more than 150,000 sq feet of facilities dedicated to operations, manufacturing and administration. The Program Manager is accountable for the overall health of assigned programs (measured on financial, contractual, operational and customer metrics) and is the primary contact for each assigned program’s customer for day-to-day coordination. This role will provide program governance to ensure compliance with contractual and internal requirements and ensure consistent application of standardized program reporting and performance metrics, as well as adherence to Stelia Strategic objectives and Corporate Values while carrying out day to day job functions.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree in Business or an Engineering / Technical discipline.
  • 5–7 years of demonstrated experience in Program or Project Management, or related customer-facing activities (planning, scheduling, business pursuit), preferably within an aerospace or manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience partnering with customers and managing complex technical programs, ideally in an aerospace or complex manufacturing setting.
  • Experience in contractual negotiations with strong commercial and business acumen.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple programs and customers in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
  • Experience managing geographically dispersed, multifunctional teams.
  • Strong decision-making skills with a results-driven approach focused on safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Financial and analytical acumen is essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to summarize complex issues concisely and communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to influence across multiple functional areas.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in M365 applications, including MS Project, is required.
  • Experience working within an ERP environment.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP certification is considered an asset.
  • Customer-facing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Formally accountable for program delivery to quoted / bid and contracted expectations.
  • Responsible for assigned program financial performance (revenue, profit, and cash), bids/quotes preparation and sales forecasting.
  • Responsible for proactive operational and commercial advocacy and coordination.
  • Responsible for optimizing assigned program performance against program contractual baseline requirements including OTD/OQD performance, milestones, constraints, and risks.
  • Responsible for effective and timely internal and external program communications, risks and issues identification and development of mitigations plans.
  • Responsible for the provision of timely and accurate program status briefings to Senior Management.
  • Responsible for day-to-day customer liaison and problem-solving on assigned programs.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of internal key customer interaction points necessary to maintain multi-level contact between customer decision-makers and STELIA leadership.
  • Responsible for identifying and capturing net-new opportunities and/or scope increase possibilities with existing customers, including direct involvement in bidding / quoting and Business Development activities and events.
  • Management and mitigation of program risks and financial variances to program budget by identifying and coordinating actions for improvement or correction.
  • Responsible for recommendation of improvement opportunities and initiatives for assigned programs.
  • Participation in company improvement activities and program problem remediation ‘Tiger Teams’ acting as the program performance / business leader.
