PIMCO is seeking an execution-focused Global Program Manager to own the bottoms-up delivery of the firm's Middle-Office transformation program. Working in close partnership with the Global Middle-Office Operations and Technology teams, this role is responsible for translating strategy into structured, trackable execution, driving task mastery, designing cross-functional workflows, and embedding operational controls across all workstreams.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in program/project management, ideally within asset management or financial services operations.
  • Hands-on experience managing large-scale system migrations or operating model transitions in a Middle-Office or operations environment.
  • Expertise in cross-functional workflow design, process reengineering, and operational controls development.
  • Proficiency in program management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Smartsheet, etc.) and agile/waterfall hybrid methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex delivery data into clear executive reporting.
  • Experience managing or coordinating third-party consulting teams and vendor delivery resources.

Responsibilities

  • Program Management — Oversee and maintain integrated program plans across all Middle-Office transformation workstreams, track milestones, dependencies, risks, and issues.
  • Workflow Design — Design and document detailed cross-functional workflows, process flows, and standard operating procedures for target state operations.
  • Controls Framework — Define and implement program-level operational controls, quality checkpoints, and SLA/STP metrics to govern execution and operational readiness.
  • Task Mastering & Delivery Cadence — Run structured sprint ceremonies, working sessions, and status reporting; maintain accountability at the task and workstream level across internal teams and vendors.
  • External Consultant Integration — Onboard, coordinate, and quality-assure external consulting resources, define discrete work packages and ensure seamless integration with internal teams as program capacity scales.
  • Risk & Issue Management — Proactively identify execution-level risks, escalate as appropriate, and drive timely resolution across stakeholder groups.
  • Vendor & Systems Coordination — Manage day-to-day coordination with external service providers, tracking deliverables and holding partners accountable to contractual milestones.
  • Program Reporting — Produce executive-ready status reports, RAG dashboards, and program metrics for steering committee and senior leadership consumption.
  • Change Readiness & Training Coordination — Coordinate operational readiness assessments, UAT, and training activities in partnership with functional leads.
