Program Manager II, Risk and Compliance, YouTube
About The Position
As a Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex, multidisciplinary projects from start to finish by coordinating stakeholders, planning requirements, managing schedules, identifying risks, and communicating progress and deadlines across teams and locations. In this role, you will work cross-functionally across YouTube and Central Google to manage privacy-related compliance activities. You will partner with product teams to prepare for incoming privacy laws and ensure existing privacy products and features work as intended. You will also manage and streamline ongoing compliance certifications, including those related to Abaco and the Data Privacy Framework. You will work closely with the central compliance team to support an enterprise-wide culture of compliance and coordinate effective guidance across internal business units. The position reports to the Global Compliance Lead for YouTube and regularly engages with leaders and teams across legal, product management, and engineering.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in program or project management.
- 2 years of experience in compliance, information security, IT audit, or risk management.
- Experience in compliance, risk management, or legal handling matters within one or more regulatory compliance areas.
Nice To Haves
- 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver predictable program communication plans with program stakeholders, including targeted communications by stakeholder type.
- Engage Legal, Product, and other teams to develop YouTube compliance plans in response to incoming privacy laws.
- Draft and validate privacy controls that represent how products and features maintain compliance.
- Partner across the business to identify, develop, and manage process improvements to regulatory tracking for YouTube.
- Provide project management for compliance issues in YouTube and other ad hoc cross-functional compliance projects.
- Manage privacy-related compliance activities across YouTube and Central Google.
- Help ensure existing privacy products and features work as intended, and manage and streamline ongoing compliance certifications.
