About The Position

The Marvin Group is a leading defense contractor specializing in global Alternate Mission Equipment and Sustainment. Comprising Marvin Engineering (MEC), Marvin Test Solutions (MTS), and Marvin Land Systems (MLS), the group develops and manufactures various systems for military aerospace and vehicles, armament test equipment, and power and thermal management systems. With over 60 years of experience, The Marvin Group serves the Department of Defense and global allies, collaborating with major military prime contractors such as Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and Raytheon. This position is responsible for Engineering product development, with an emphasis on accelerating the development cycle and transitioning products into production. The goal is to successfully deliver results to customers to achieve program delivery and performance requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or applicable equivalent experience
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • 3-7 years’ experience in defense, engineering/manufacturing and product development
  • Familiar with manufacturing environment including project management, customer interaction, with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Able to perform a variety of complex tasks with a degree of creativity and latitude
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Project
  • Experience with MRP/ERP software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player, motivated to achieve program goals
  • Able to multitask and work in a fast paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Degree specifically in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Experience with SAP ERP
  • Exposure to continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing

Responsibilities

  • Plan project schedules including required resources and implement by deadline
  • Communicate with internal/external customers and work with functional areas such as Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality to ensure customer needs are addressed and targets are met
  • Responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing process improvements
  • Facilitate the process of ensuring that all customer requests/questions are addressed in a timely manner
  • Liaison with suppliers and sub-contractors
  • Evaluate and develop technical proposals, reports and presentations
