About The Position

The Program Manager owns portfolio and project management of the Finance Shared Services pillar and is accountable for ensuring the pillar invests in highest-ROI work and delivers it predictably. This role runs intake, scoring, prioritization, and portfolio governance across the Finance Shared Serves departments in scope; manages the multi-project delivery plan; and protects the pillar's capacity for the initiatives with the strongest value cases. The Program Manager is the discipline layer between strategy and delivery, turning a steady stream of demand into a sequenced, ROI-ranked portfolio that Finance leaders trust.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree with a minimum of 10 years’ experience, OR Bachelor’s Degree, and a minimum of 13 years’ experience, OR Associates degree and a minimum of 15 years' experience.
  • Relevant experience to include managing projects and programs ranging from simple to difficult complexity while demonstrating increasing scope and depth of responsibilities and involving multiple technological environments and/or business areas that IT supports, with demonstrated mastery in the application of PMI Process Groups and Knowledge Areas.
  • Possession of current Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification, or a comparable current certification from a nationally recognized project management governance body with a specialized emphasis in program management. This certification must be obtained within three (3) years of date of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • 7+ years of program or portfolio management experience, including managing cross-functional technology initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience managing intake and portfolio processes in enterprise environments.
  • Experience partnering with finance or operations stakeholders on technology-enabled change.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable producing executive-ready materials.
  • Working knowledge of automation and AI concepts, including RPA and AI-enabled workflows.
  • PMP, PgMP, SAFe, or equivalent program management certification.
  • Experience in healthcare, academic medical center, or non-profit finance environments.
  • Experience with UiPath-based programs and agentic AI initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Own the pillar's portfolio end-to-end: intake, scoring, prioritization, sequencing, capacity planning, and lifecycle reporting.
  • Operate a structured, ROI-led prioritization model using standardized rate cards, value levers, and the program's ROI calculator; ensure every initiative carries a defensible business case before it consumes pillar capacity.
  • Partner with the Director and Finance leaders to set portfolio thresholds (minimum ROI, payback period, strategic value) and enforce them at intake and stage gates.
  • Track realized vs. forecasted ROI through go-live and post-implementation; close the loop on value realization and feed lessons learned back into prioritization.
  • Identify and drive continuous improvements to how the pillar operates, scales, and reports.
