About The Position

Under guidance, responsible for program planning, implementation and monitoring of clinical, quality and operational projects in support of the mission of the Anesthesiology Department and the Program Development Unit.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Approximately 3-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Excellent analytical, organization and planning skills.
  • Knowledge of project management tools, methods, and best practices.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and cooperation skills.
  • Ability to participate as a team member and work independently, with limited supervision.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment, tact and discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and demands, establish priorities and work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail in the performance of duties is of critical importance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite and database applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree preferred in relevant fields
  • Program management and/or project management professional certification is preferred.
  • Quality improvement training and/or experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the program's day-to-day operations.
  • Monitors, plans and implements programs and projects to ensure milestones and goals are met within budget and timeline, and adhere to regulations and policies.
  • Participates in strategic planning efforts.
  • In collaboration with faculty leaders, responsible for chartering efforts, acquiring stakeholder buy-in, and developing metrics.
  • Develops and maintains structured plans, relevant materials and meeting minutes.
  • Leads workgroup meetings, including facilitating discussion around deliverables, identifying action items, completing assigned tasks and following up with other workgroup members.
  • Engages and advises faculty and administrative leadership on programs development, obtaining critical decisions and guidance, ensuring continuous departmental and organizational commitment.
  • Manage implementation and maintenance of clinical program activities and events.
  • Collaborate with departmental managers on integration and maintenance of program enhancements.
  • Responsible for data management operations and development of reports; provide insights, trends and opportunities for planning initiatives and projects.
  • Coordinates and performs data collection and analysis.
  • Represents program at meetings and acts as liaison with faculty and administrative leadership.
  • Develop presentations for report outs, including relevant visual presentation materials and written narrative as needed.
  • Mentors, trains and orients staff and interns, responsible for obtaining feedback and relaying constructive feedback.
  • Additional responsibilities and tasks as needed.
