About The Position

Rock West Composites is seeking a Senior Program Finance Analyst to lead program execution and customer success across a business segment. The Senior Program Finance Analyst is responsible for managing the financial performance of assigned programs by providing accurate forecasting, financial analysis, and strategic guidance throughout the program lifecycle. This role partners with Program Management and cross-functional teams to improve profitability, mitigate financial risk, and ensure programs achieve customer and business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in finance, program finance, FP&A, or a related analytical role.
  • Experience supporting engineering, aerospace, manufacturing, or government contracting environments required.
  • Strong understanding of program financial management, Bills of Material (BOMs), labor costing, scrap analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting.
  • Experience with Estimates at Completion (EAC), Earned Value Management (EVM), and variance analysis.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to present financial information to non-financial audiences.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset and a commitment to delivering exceptional internal customer support.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling and analysis of large datasets.
  • Proficiency with Power BI, Microsoft Word, and Outlook.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company’s immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
  • U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), Refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or Asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting proposal pricing, revenue recognition, and program financial reporting preferred.
  • Experience with ERP reporting and business intelligence tools preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Financial performance and profitability of assigned programs
  • Estimates at Completion (EAC) forecasting and financial modeling
  • Program cost analysis, labor planning, and variance reporting
  • Financial risk identification and mitigation
  • Cross-functional financial support for Program Management, Operations, and Engineering
  • Continuous improvement of financial forecasting and reporting processes
  • Lead the development, review, and maintenance of monthly Estimates at Completion (EACs) for assigned programs.
  • Analyze program financial performance, including labor, material, overhead, and budget variances.
  • Develop Plan vs. Actual reporting and recommend corrective actions to improve financial performance.
  • Provide proactive financial guidance to support profitable program execution and positive cash flow throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Support milestone planning and contract scope changes to help maintain positive cash flow and program profitability throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Attend monthly program and job cost reviews while providing financial analysis and recommendations.
  • Identify, communicate, and escalate financial risks to leadership in a timely manner.
  • Comply with Rock West Composites' policies, procedures, and Code of Business Conduct.
  • Provide financial analysis and reporting to support Program Managers and leadership.
  • Provide Program Managers with recurring labor, material, and cost reporting, including monthly financial performance updates.
  • Develop Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting as required by customer contracts.
  • Support proposal pricing, revenue recognition, invoicing, and program closeout activities.
  • Assist with customer setup activities, including account maintenance and credit reviews.
  • Partner with Program Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, and Accounting to improve financial performance and forecasting accuracy.
  • Assist Operations and Supply Chain in understanding capacity planning, labor utilization, and material requirements.
  • Translate complex financial data into meaningful business insights for non-financial stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen financial processes and reporting capabilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
