About The Position

The Financial Systems Program Manager leads and oversees the successful delivery of financial systems programs and projects that support the firm's strategic and operational objectives. This role is responsible for managing project portfolios, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, and ensuring initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business requirements. The Program Manager partners closely with Finance leadership, Information Technology, vendors, and other stakeholders to drive planning, governance, execution, reporting, and continuous improvement across financial systems initiatives.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Project Management, Business, Information Technology, Accounting, Finance or related discipline preferred.
  • Project Management Institute’s (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • ITIL v3 Foundations Certification or equivalent knowledge preferred.
  • At least 10 years of Project Management experience and 5 years in Program and Portfolio Management, at least 3 of which are in a large enterprise with multiple locations.
  • Experience in the legal industry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage financial systems programs and projects from planning through implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives, scope, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, status reports, scorecards, financial reporting, risk assessments, issue logs, and other project governance documentation.
  • Manage project and program portfolios in partnership with Finance leadership, supporting planning, prioritization, resource allocation, and ongoing portfolio oversight.
  • Select and apply appropriate project management methodologies, tools, and practices based on project needs and complexity.
  • Monitor project performance and proactively identify, mitigate, and resolve risks, issues, dependencies, and resource constraints.
  • Partner with Finance leadership, stakeholders, Information Technology, subject matter experts, and external vendors to define requirements, establish delivery strategies, and achieve project objectives.
  • Communicate project status, risks, decisions, milestones, and business impacts to support effective governance, stakeholder alignment, and informed decision-making.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration, project review meetings, and release management activities to ensure successful delivery, adoption, and transition of new systems, services, and enhancements into production.
