About The Position

Strategies to Empower People is seeking a full-time Program Director for its Behavioral Support Services department. This role is responsible for program design, development, and implementation strategies. The Director will provide supervision and consultation for individual clients' service coordination, treatment plans, and effective implementation approaches and interventions within a community-based supported living program. This program serves individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (I/DD) who have consistent and severe behavioral and medical challenges in the greater Sacramento area. The position reports to the Chief Executive Officer and supervises a large team. The Director develops treatment plans and staff understanding of trauma-informed care. This role involves direct work with individuals who exhibit challenging behaviors such as severe physical aggression, self-injurious behavior, and property destruction. The Program Director is accountable for the health, safety, and success of both clients and employees.

Requirements

  • At least two (2) years experience working in the behavioral health field
  • At least two (2) years of supervisory experience (supervising staff, not individuals with disabilities)
  • Master's degree in a related discipline
  • Licensed and insured driver
  • Clean driving record (no excessive points, and no DUIs/wet-and-reckless in the past 10 years)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with individuals with the I/DD population
  • Two (2) years of fiscal management experience
  • Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBCA) in the state of California
