About The Position

Strategies to Empower People is seeking a full-time Program Manager for Behavioral Support Services to coordinate, develop, and implement a community-based supported living program for adults with disabilities who have significant behavioral and medical challenges. This role involves overseeing Supported Living Services for adults with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) in the Sacramento area. The Program Manager will be involved in administrative duties, client assessments, hands-on support, and developing plans and goals for clients. This position directly supervises field supervisors and one-on-one support staff, ensuring the health, safety, and success of both clients and employees. Key responsibilities include implementing crisis intervention plans, writing therapeutic treatment plans, and conducting quality assurance checks.

Requirements

  • At least three (3) years of experience working directly with individuals who have Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities (I/DD population).
  • At least three (3) years of experience working directly with individuals who have regular and consistent behavioral challenges, including physical aggression, elopement, self-injurious behaviors, and other challenges.
  • At least two (2) years of supervisory experience.
  • At least two (2) years of budgetary/finance experience.
  • Understanding of Supported Living Services (SLS).
  • Understanding of the Medi-Cal system.
  • Computer and database system proficiency.
  • Ability to maintain professional communication both verbally and written/typed.
  • Licensed and insured driver with a clean driving record (no excessive points, and no DUIs/wet-and-reckless in the past 10 years).

  • Educational background (BA/MA) in a related field, such as Psychiatry or Social Work.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate Supported Living Services for adults with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities (I/DD).
  • Work directly with individuals who have potentially aggressive behaviors in their homes and communities.
  • Perform general administrative duties including documentation and reports.
  • Supervise field staff and one-on-one support staff.
  • Conduct on-site assessments for incoming clients.
  • Provide hands-on support for current clients.
  • Develop and implement plans and goals for clients.
  • Implement crisis intervention plans.
  • Write and implement therapeutic treatment plans.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and success of clients and employees.
