About The Position

Walker's Imaginarium is a first-of-its-kind 16,000 square foot child enrichment center – akin to a children’s museum – located at Manning Family Children’s main campus. Numerous exhibits and spaces for programming offer pediatric patients and their families and friends opportunities to find joy, respite, and connection during hospital visits. The Program Coordinator is tasked with monitoring the space and supervising the Play Facilitators on weekends and/or evenings. They engage with children/patients and parents/guardians to facilitate intentional exploration and play and interacts with caregivers using researched best practices in childhood development. The Program Coordinator is a friendly face and source of information about exhibits, programming, and wayfinding to all patients, families, staff, and visitors of the Imaginarium. Each Program Coordinator is knowledgeable about all exhibits and their associated loose parts and promotes cleanliness and safety within each space. They are also responsible for front-desk check-in through the visitor management system and engaging with medical professionals to transport patients to and from their rooms. The Program Coordinator helps to ensure that all visitors of the Imaginarium maximize their experiences in each exhibit through safe and joyful play.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
  • 2 years of prior work experience

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of or current enrollment in Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience
  • At least 1 year of experience working with children

Responsibilities
