About The Position

Responsible for the delivery and implementation of behavioral health or recovery programs within a facility. The role includes providing patient care, coordinating activities, supporting patients with basic daily needs, collaborating with the treatment team, monitoring patient well-being, and completing program-related documentation. Patient safety and professional, empathetic service are priorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, or a related field is required.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification are required; training is available upon hire and offered by the facility.

Nice To Haves

• One or more years of previous behavioral health experience with the population served by the facility.
• Certification in the specialty of the program.
• First aid may be required based on state or facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care by coordinating activities, offering companionship, and assisting with basic daily needs such as dressing, bathing, and eating.
• Collaborate with treatment team members to support patient treatment and care goals.
• May serve as a co-lead for groups.
• Monitor patients’ daily well-being and identify the need for social intervention.
• Complete program documentation, including care, treatment, and incident records, clearly, professionally, and in a timely manner.
• Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers; acknowledge and work to resolve complaints when patient needs are not met.
• Prioritize patient safety.
• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
