About The Position

This is a temporary employment recruitment reporting to the UCI Temporary Employment Services (TES) Department. The role involves providing program management, coordination, administration, and oversight for a portfolio of cancer research and training initiatives. It supports the full lifecycle of grants and programs, including application support, implementation, tracking, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting. The position also coordinates education and workforce development programs across the cancer career continuum and maintains systems for program tracking, data collection, and outcomes reporting.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in program coordination, project management, or research administration in an academic or clinical research environment.
  • Knowledge of grant processes and funding mechanisms (e.g., NIH training grants, research supplements, or similar programs).
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret program data to support reporting, evaluation, and decision-making.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare reports and coordinate across multidisciplinary stakeholders.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions in English.
  • Must be able to provide proof of work authorization.

  • Experience with high-level coordination, program management, and education training.

Responsibilities

  • Provide program management, coordination, administration, and oversight for a portfolio of cancer research and training initiatives.
  • Support the full lifecycle of grants and programs, including application support, implementation, tracking, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
  • Coordinate education and workforce development programs across the cancer career continuum (high school through faculty), ensuring alignment with institutional and CCSG priorities.
  • Maintain systems for program tracking, data collection, and outcomes reporting, including trainee progression, research outputs, and funding impacts.
