About The Position

The Program Coordinator is responsible for representing the Safe Route team through supporting clients and staff with inquiries and requests; scheduling appointments for multiple locations; performing administrative tasks and assisting in projects and initiatives focused on outreach and education to the immigrant and refugee community in Oregon. This position requires fluency in both English and Spanish.

Requirements

  • 1 year of related experience with program coordination
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to demonstrate fluency in English and Spanish, both spoken and written
  • Intermediate mastery of business applications and productivity suites
  • Demonstrates resilience, awareness and self-regulation in navigating challenges, conflict and obstacles/barriers.
  • Thrives in a diverse and multicultural environment; works with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies to enhance end-user experiences throughout the service lifecycle

  • Travels between worksites regularly
  • Works in a variety of settings, including and not limited to LCSNW office locations, partner agency and community-based settings, and faith-based settings such as churches
  • Meets LCSNW criminal background clearance requirements and other job-relevant clearances as required by the State or program

Responsibilities

  • Provide immigration-related information and advocacy (e.g., Naturalization, Adjustment of Status, Family Reunification), while responding to client inquiries in person and by phone
  • Manage client scheduling across multiple office locations and support general front-end coordination needs
  • Process and maintain government documents, correspondence, and accurate client files, including detailed case notes
  • Collaborate with team members on ongoing case management and client services
  • Assist clients with notary, photo services, and referrals to community resources; maintain current knowledge of available supports
  • Coordinate and support U.S. Citizenship preparation classes, including scheduling and volunteer/student coordination
  • Represent the program through community outreach, education, reporting activities, and by promoting a culturally responsive, professional, and supportive team environment
