About The Position

This is a short-term, summer position for a Program Assistant/Stage Crew member for the Summer Musical Theater Workshop. The role requires flexibility and involves providing customer service, supporting program directors, running errands, and general office support. Candidates must be current students at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee, enrolled at least half-time (or pre-registered for the fall semester if only working in the summer), have a valid US Social Security Number, maintain valid Visa status, have a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA (first-semester students are exempt), be in good disciplinary standing, and be located in the US. Federal Work Study students are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

  • Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
  • Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program (or pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester if only working in the summer).
  • Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).
  • Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable.
  • A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA (students in their first semester can work without an official GPA).
  • In good disciplinary standing.
  • Must be located in the U.S.
  • Punctual and reliable, with a friendly and upbeat attitude (lateness will not be tolerated).
  • Familiarity with the Berklee campus and its key buildings and offices.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Available for in-person work at the Boston campus during the summer months.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Musical Theater at the college/conservatory preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exemplary customer service when interacting with program participants and families, including greeting, answering questions, directing traffic, and serving as a resource.
  • Provide on-the-ground support for program directors, including classroom assistance and monitoring jam sessions and other program activities.
  • Run on-campus errands as needed.
  • Provide general office support, including printing, organizing, and distributing student schedules and written music.
