About The Position

Provide professional support to all students in the program while collaborating with faculty to foster positive advising experiences that will provide personal growth, practical skills, knowledge, and experience in preparation for future employment within various Aviation career fields.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an Aviation discipline or closely related field and a minimum of one (1) year experience in an aviation environment, which may include military, industry (airline, corporate, or airport), educational or professional aviation training (teaching at flight school or academy) or in higher education OR a minimum of an AAS degree and a minimum of three (3) years' experience in an aviation environment or in a higher education environment.
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Work safely at all times, which includes but is not limited to, participating and completing all required safety trainings, as well as performing all job tasks in accordance with Minnesota State University, Mankato policies and procedures utilizing appropriate tools, equipment and personal protective equipment.
  • This position requires a valid, applicable driver’s license, as well as DVS records check with an acceptable rating.

  • Knowledge of accreditation practices or potential to learn accreditation practices.

Responsibilities

  • Assignments may include evening or weekend advising/orientation duties by the individual, or supervision of a Graduate Assistant (GA) that assists with accreditation site visits.
  • It is possible certain advising or accreditation site visit prep may need to be done the evening prior to the date of the visit.
