About The Position

As a Program Analyst 2 with the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, you will support the Division of Grants, Analysis and Initiatives through a wide range of planning, analysis, policy, and evaluation assignments. You will analyze and review data to recommend improvements that strengthen program planning and operational processes for the Office of Veterans' Programs. This role allows you to use your insights to inform leadership and drive meaningful change.

Requirements

  • One year as a Program Analyst 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
  • Two years of analytical experience, one of which includes professional experience in program evaluation and the development of program recommendations, and a bachelor's degree
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training
  • Pass a favorable National Crime Information Center (NCIC) screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap
  • Meet the PA residency requirement
  • Be able to perform essential job functions
  • Submission of criminal history reports (conditional offer of employment)

Responsibilities

  • Analyze diverse datasets and develop recommendations to improve program operations
  • Evaluate metrics to identify improvements, cost savings, and risks
  • Provide analytical support for organizational budget development alongside leadership
  • Gather information through research methods to guide changes and enhancements
  • Use analytical tools and software to present data for leadership decision-making
  • Assess programs and projects to determine their effectiveness and alignment with goals
