About The Position
The Program Aide provides care and supervision for children, implements age-group-specific lesson plans, and assists with homework as needed. The role also involves preparing and serving snacks and meals, cleaning program spaces according to established standards, and monitoring children during bus transportation. The Program Aide is responsible for ensuring children’s safety and protection at all times.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
- Two years of experience teaching child development programs in a church, or an equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge and skills.
- CPR certification.
- First Aid certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide constant care for the needs of the children.
- Implement lesson plans specific to the age-group program.
- Provide homework assistance as needed.
- Prepare and serve children’s snacks and meals.
- Clean the kitchen, classrooms, tables, bathrooms, and other areas in accordance with established standards.
- Monitor children on the bus during transportation.
- Ensure the safety and protection of children at all times.
