About The Position

Evolve Treatment Centers is seeking an enthusiastic Program Aide for its outpatient PHP/IOP location in Danville, California. The team provides treatment to adolescents experiencing substance abuse and mental health challenges. The position offers an opportunity to gain exposure and experience working with teens with significant and co-occurring disorders, and may suit someone interested in or pursuing a degree in mental health or social services. The ideal candidate is dedicated, responsible, reliable, flexible, and willing to adapt to the changing needs of adolescent treatment.

This is a full-time, onsite position. The schedule requires flexibility between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, working eight hours per day, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays. Pay is $24 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Maintain appropriate personal and professional boundaries in a treatment setting.
• Able to remain calm during crisis situations to protect client safety.
• Able to remain fully attentive to ensure client safety.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in psychology, social work, or a related field.
• Some prior experience working in a mental health setting.
• Previous crisis-management experience.
• Previous experience working with teens.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and supervision to clients in the milieu.
• Provide one-to-one support to clients and address areas where they need assistance with individual problems.
• Monitor client behavior, activities, safety, and peer-community dynamics with vigilance and awareness.
• Conduct and facilitate psychoeducation groups and recreational activities.
• Manage and intervene in crises when necessary.
• Complete client shift notes and group-note documentation.
• Facilitate urinalysis testing for clients.
• Establish a constructive therapeutic community in accordance with Treatment Center policies.
