Program Aide
About The Position
The Program Aide leads activities for children and adults participating in camp programs. Activities may include classroom training, tutoring, sports, Bible study, computer programs, and specialized programs. The role also maintains the cleanliness of recreational and outdoor activity areas. The Program Aide provides attentive, efficient, clean, loving, safe, secure, and healthy care for guests. The position supports a positive and relaxed atmosphere during educational and outdoor activities, encourages conversation, and helps ensure the accountability, security, and safety of guests participating in outdoor activities. Accidents must be reported accurately and promptly to the supervisor. Work takes place in indoor and outdoor environments and may involve discomfort from weather changes, noise, dust, or dirt. Duties include frequent changes between sitting, standing, and walking, as well as frequently walking, standing, and lifting or carrying light objects weighing less than 25 pounds.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- One to two years of experience teaching child development programs, or an equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Ability to pass all state licensing background checks.
- Ability to meet attendance requirements.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to observe children and ensure their safety.
- CPR and First Aid Certification, or the ability to obtain it.
Nice To Haves
- Lifeguard Certification.
- Ropes Course Certification.
Responsibilities

- Provide constant care for the needs of children and adults in an efficient, clean, loving, safe, secure, and healthy manner.
- Maintain a positive, relaxed atmosphere during educational and outdoor activities and promote encouraging conversation.
- Ensure the accountability, security, and safety of guests participating in outdoor activities.
- Report accidents to the supervisor accurately and in a timely manner.
