About The Position

The Remote Patient Monitoring Manager will manage and help spearhead the remote monitoring program for the Section of Cardiology. The position will work primarily with the Electrophysiology team and also with faculty and staff throughout the Section who have patients with implanted cardiac devices. Devices currently monitored include loop recorders, pacemakers, and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs), including devices for patients with advanced heart failure. Management of Holter monitors may also be required. The role coordinates monitoring through third-party platforms and promptly notifies the Cardiology Team when a patient transmission requires attention. At times, the manager may call patients to triage transmissions and will consult with the EP Advanced Practice Provider and faculty associated with remote monitoring. The position also works with faculty and staff at assigned locations that use cardiac-device remote monitoring to ensure appropriate device follow-up, track transmissions, and complete follow-ups using third-party or individually created billable reports. Additional duties include checking patient insurance through Experian, maintaining medical records, creating visits in ECW, EPIC, or Patient Keeper, and entering and batching charges through IDX.
