About The Position
The Department of Mechanical Engineering at The University of Alabama is seeking exceptional applicants for non-tenure-track, renewable contract faculty positions at the rank of Professor. The role involves teaching in core lecture classes, unit operations laboratory, and/or senior design courses, along with appropriate service roles within the department. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate a high-performance level in teaching, actively engage students, and take a leadership role in curricular matters within one or more of the department's disciplinary groups. This includes developing industry-driven capstone programs and connecting students with real engineering problems and external partners.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in mechanical engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution by the date of appointment.
