About The Position

The Department of Radiology in the School of Medicine at the University of Washington in Seattle is recruiting for one full-time (100% FTE) faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor without tenure (WOT) by reason of funding, commensurate with experience, to join the department with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2027. Assistant Professors WOT are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Associate Professors WOT and full Professors WOT hold indefinite appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. Seattle Children’s is a 407 bed medical regional center; over 136,000 pediatric imaging examinations per year are performed across all modalities within the Hospital and associated outpatient clinics. We are a quaternary care, multidisciplinary pediatric hospital with all our exams interpreted by dedicated pediatric radiologists. Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O., or foreign equivalent, in medicine
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in Washington State
  • Completion of an ACGME accredited Pediatric Radiology fellowship
  • Possess, or eligible, for an American Board of Radiology (ABR) Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Pediatric Radiology
  • Excellence in academic achievement as demonstrated by a record of scientific presentation and/or publications
  • In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.

Responsibilities

  • Patient care in computed tomography, diagnostic radiology, magnetic resonance imaging, nuclear medicine, CT/PET, and ultrasound, with an emphasis in body or cardiac imaging.
  • Teaching and supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows.
