About The Position

Oral Roberts University’s Anna Vaughn College of Nursing seeks a highly qualified faculty member for a full-time position beginning in Summer/Fall 2023. The selected candidate will serve on a course-specific teaching team and report directly to the Course Coordinator. Faculty participate in teaching and clinical education, curriculum and course development, student advising and growth, and service to the School of Nursing and University. The application deadline is open until filled.

Requirements

Master of Science in Nursing, at minimum.
Experience in community health, mental health, medical-surgical, pediatric, or critical care nursing.
If this is the candidate’s first teaching appointment, at least two years of clinical practice before appointment.
Meet qualifications for RN licensure in the state of Oklahoma.
Hold practice certifications appropriate to the clinical practice area.
Sign the University Honor Code and exemplify a lifestyle consistent with its standards.

Responsibilities

Ensure the nursing curriculum is consistent with the mission, philosophy, and goals of the School of Nursing and Oral Roberts University.
Implement a concept-based curriculum.
Revise courses to align with professional nursing practice and educational standards.
Select learning resources that maximize student learning.
Implement clinical experiences consistent with students’ achievement of course objectives.
Provide leadership in students’ spiritual and professional growth.
Teach on-campus classes, in simulated laboratories, and in clinical settings.
Serve as an academic advisor to nursing students.
Serve on School of Nursing committees.
Serve on University committees.
