The Jacobs School of Music is seeking candidates for a position in the Woodwind Department specializing in Bassoon. The ideal candidate will possess national and international recognition as both a performer and a pedagogue, with experience in diverse settings. Key responsibilities include developing and managing a studio of undergraduate and graduate bassoon students, teaching studio classes and reed making, and coaching chamber ensembles. The role may also involve teaching orchestra literature, pedagogy classes, and other related courses. The successful candidate will actively participate in departmental meetings, recruitment efforts, auditions, doctoral committees, recital hearings, faculty recitals, outreach programs, master classes, and serve on Jacobs School of Music committees.
