The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Neonatology at the University of Washington is seeking to hire a faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor of Clinical Practice. This is a full-time, twelve-month position with a three-year term for Assistant Professors, and indefinite appointments for Associate and Full Professors. The successful candidate will join a diverse and inclusive academic community and contribute to excellence in research, teaching, and service. The Department of Pediatrics is a large department affiliated with Seattle Children's Hospital and Seattle Children's Research Institute. Faculty members are located at various institutions and are part of the Children’s University Medical Group (CUMG) clinical practice plan. The role involves clinical care, education, and scholarship at an outstanding academic center. The Division of Neonatology focuses on neonatal neuroprotection/neuroscience, simulation as an educational tool, and global neonatal-perinatal health, with an associated ethics program. The division manages two academic level IV NICUs and several regional level III NICUs, with a mission to improve pregnancy outcomes through scholarship, education, and evidence-based clinical care.
