The Professional Tutor (part-time, temporary position) provides one-on-one or group tutoring to students; may also assist by modeling study skills and by mentoring new and returning undergraduate students. Professional Tutors/mentors are scheduled as needed/available. Provide tutoring to students with coursework in an office environment or online Work with tutee to develop a tutoring plan that fits the student’s individual needs Offer assistance with developing study strategies Make file notes and communicate with professor, academic coaches and/or director about student progress per department policies Operate computer and other resources to provide tutoring on-site or remotely Be accessible to students who have come for assistance Complete paperwork in a timely manner Assistant with the facilitation in the distance learning classroom Support students in the development of vital college success skills such as executive functioning and study skills Serve as a case-manager/academic coach for high-support students Facilitating the virtual component of IVDL courses or distance-learning courses in a physical classroom
