About The Position

The Los Angeles, California office of Lewis Brisbois, a full-service AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking an attorney to join its Professional Liability Practice. The practice includes attorneys across the firm’s nationwide offices and represents professionals and organizations, either through direct engagement or retention by their insurance carriers. Those represented include accountants, architects and engineers, attorneys, bankers, computer and media professionals, financial planners, healthcare providers, insurance brokers and agents, school districts and municipalities, property appraisers and inspectors, real estate professionals, and securities brokers. The firm seeks an attorney with strong research and writing skills and experience defending professional liability claims. It is also open to talented attorneys with substantive litigation experience, excellent skills in any litigation area, and a demonstrated interest in professional liability law. The role offers an opportunity to join a growing, collaborative firm. The stated salary range is USD $190,000 to $220,000 per year.

Requirements

Strong research and writing skills.
Admission to the California Bar.
At least eight years of experience defending professional liability claims; the posting identifies a preferred experience range of eight to fifteen years.
Alternatively, substantive litigation experience, excellent skills in a litigation arena, and a demonstrated interest in professional liability law.
