About The Position

Intertek is seeking a Professional Engineer to join its Building & Construction team in Edgewood, New York. The role is responsible for construction inspections and reviewing project documents and reports, including verifying that work and procedures conform to contract documents and applicable job specifications. The position involves inspecting construction for structural stability and building-envelope performance, as well as mechanical systems and sprinklers. The engineer signs applicable technical report forms and helps ensure required quality standards are met on work sites. Travel is required at least 5% of the time. Intertek’s Building & Construction division provides assurance, testing, inspection, and consulting services across architecture, engineering, and construction. Compensation is listed at $165,000–$185,000 annually, with individual packages determined by candidate-related factors. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, specifically Civil or Structural.
Professional Engineering License in New York State.
At least 5 years of directly related experience in the building inspection field.
