About The Position

STRATA is seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Field Professional to join its team in Boise, Idaho. STRATA provides geotechnical engineering consulting, construction inspection, and materials testing services. The role performs field testing, observations, and inspections of construction materials in accordance with applicable standards, supporting project success through accurate testing, timely reporting, and effective communication.

Requirements

• Over 1 year of experience in construction materials testing is ideally desired.
• Two or more relevant certifications are ideally desired, such as soil and asphalt in-place density training (for example, APNGA certifications), concrete testing (ACI certifications), or sampling and testing aggregate, embankment, and asphalt (WAQTC certifications).

• Over 1 year of construction materials testing experience.
• Two or more relevant certifications, such as APNGA, ACI, or WAQTC certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform observations and materials testing of soil, aggregate, concrete, and asphalt.
• Conduct testing in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Assist senior professionals with complex tasks.
• Maintain and calibrate field and laboratory equipment.
• Report results promptly and accurately.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and team members.
• Operate company vehicles responsibly and maintain their condition.
• Travel out of town and work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
