About The Position

Intertek is seeking a Professional Engineer to join its Building & Construction team in Edgewood, New York. The role is responsible for inspections and reviewing project documents and reports, and requires travel at least 5% of the time. The Building & Construction division provides assurance, testing, inspection, certification, consulting, and building science services to the architectural, engineering, and construction industry, both in laboratories and on site. The Professional Engineer inspects construction work and systems to verify that preparation, procedures, and quality meet contract documents, job specifications, and applicable requirements. Areas of inspection include structural stability, building envelopes, mechanical systems, sprinklers, foundations, structural components, and mechanical and energy code requirements. The position also includes signing applicable technical report forms. The annual base salary range is $165,000–$185,000. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil or Structural).
Professional Engineering License in New York State.
At least 5 years of directly related experience in the building inspection field.
